Improved security

Most of the thefts from trucks are from the trailer, and to date there has been no satisfactory security system to protect this. With the introduction of the DataChassi solution, this will now be possible and, consequently, will reduce the risk of theft and ripping of cargo covers.

A platform for the future

 The DataChassi solution is more than an alarm as it also provides a wireless communication platform. It enables communication between the On Board Computer of the truck (OBC) and the trailer. Since it is wireless, it can communicate with other devices on the trailer that previously have been out of reach such as sensors and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) readers. This will open up new opportunities.

 Improved logistic management of the goods, introducing RFID labeling, will make the goods traceable and not just the location of the truck. This will dramatically improve logistic management. The sending company, as well as the receiving end, will have instant information when and to whom the delivery is done. Thus reducing deliveries ending up at the wrong destination. 

 Safety is increased as it is possible to connect various sensors i.e. temperature, leakage and displacement of goods, which will improve the level of service from the transporter as well as improving safety for the driver and his/her working environment. 

 As the modified sidelight from DataChassi can easily replace the existing sidelights, it enables short time-to-market for customers that decide to add new services. The radio technology chosen is one of the predominant mesh technologies and facilitates easy integration with existing On Board Computers to make it part of the overall system solution.
