Electronic fence - DC Fence

DC Fence is a patented security system for the protection of high value transports. DC Fence consists of modified side marking lights that replace the existing ones on the semi-trailer.

The side marking lights are connected with each other over and through a telematic gateway to a web based service portal. When an unauthorized person stays close to the vehicle too long, an alarm will be sent to the driver and to the transport central and possibly also to an alarm central. The system is at present to be activated for movements closer than 0.5 m. It warns the intruder by light and sound in order to minimize the risk of false alarms.

DC Fence permits a person to walk past the vehicle, e.g. at a parking lot, without setting off the alarm provided that the person does not stop. If the person stops the side marking lights will start flashing and sound within a short time.

DC Fence can be activated and deactivated in different ways. By using the mobile phone, or by using the web portal.

DC Fence can be retrofitted and replace the sidemarking lights that by European law are compulsory for vehicles longer than 6 meters. They are LED based and also include radar-sensors and wireless communication.

All communication is wireless, using ZigBee technology, between the side marking lights, between the lights and the telematic gateway as well as connecting other 3rd party sensors measuring tire pressure, temperature, door seals, locks etc.

In future product releases, the radar sensors in the lights will be used for blind-spot detection as well as support when switching lane, i.e lane control.
